Apple Cake
This fragrant apple cake has a touch of brown sugar, fresh apple juice and melted butter in the batter—it’s irresistibly moist and delicious!
Apple Cake Ingredients:
• 7 medium-small gala apples, unpeeled
• 2 1/2 cups flour
• 2 teaspoons baking soda
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1 1/4 cup brown sugar, plus 2 tablespoons, divided use
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 4 eggs
• 1 cup melted unsalted butter, slightly cooled
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts (optional garnish)
Sour Cream Drizzle Ingredients:
• 4 1/2 tablespoons sour cream
• 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
